Slip on those gumboots and step into your beloved overalls, because we are going to take you through one of our much loved projects from 2023... Styling and furnishing a wee little country cottage, located on our clients working cattle farm near Mount Lindesay, NSW.  It all began with our client reaching out to us via our website. An in-home consultation was then booked in with our Interior Designer Ellen, who went and met the client at the property. Whilst there a more in depth conversation was had about the client's desired palette and style direction, as well as discussion around how the property is used (and needs to function)... Therefore creating a more detailed vision and style brief for the project.  Although the home was completely empty, it was full to the brim with traditional 'Queenslander' character and country charm; from the timber panelled and VJ walls, trim on the ceilings, led-light windows, lattice detailing, decorative moulding and natural timber flooring, lets just say, Ellen was in awe!  Functionally, it was decided that this home was going to be used by the client's family for short vacays. However, it would also be listed on Air BnB so lucky guests could be immersed into country life and switch off the hustle and bustle of city living. It needed to be styled to suit large families, whilst also providing comfort and durability.  Given the location of the property and playing on the characteristics and history of the home itself, it was only fitting that the design style would be ‘Traditional Australian Countryside’.   Once all the important aspects were set in place, our designer Ellen set about getting her creative juices flowing to put together a considered and thorough set of mood boards to present to the client.     Fast forward a few months and when all the orders were received at TSI HQ, the time came to bring this vision to life! The install happened across two consecutive days (she was a big mama!); but boy oh boy, did it come to life beautifully! We are so incredibly happy with the how it all came together, and so grateful for our client entrusting us to deliver and execute this stunning project.  It's one we'll be thinking about for a long time to come...      Looking to furnish your empty property?
